hi guys,
i'm planning to upgrade my old Lenovo IdeaPad U310 with SSD. im thinking moving the the system to a new mSATA SSD (~256Gb) and replace the cache pre-installed SSD. Will it work? and can i use the extra space for my documents? or will u recommend upgrade the HDD to a 2.5" SATA SSD instead? and ppl out there are saying it is a mPCIe cache SSD but i check the cnet, it seems to be a SATA2? im really confused here.
thanks so much if u guys can help

Solution
Yea not sure on mSATA Speed but you can use that for a boot drive. Just make sure you disable RAID in the bios for the IRST Cashe mode.
