PC screen turns off after a playing for a while (no signal going in power saving mode

The problem is that my monitor turns off after I played for like 10 min, I hear the same sound everytime when it happens, and it goes in power saving mode while i still hear that I'm ingame and still playing and the pc is not shut down.
This problem really bothers me and I have to restart my pc everytime, but I have to wait a while or the PC will still say its in power saving mode.
I have tried cleaning the ram of dust but still no change, can anyone pls help me?

  1. Probably insufficient quality PSU. Which PSU do you have? Need exact model. If you cannot say for sure, provide a pic of its label.
  2. Could also be overheating. Have you tried using software like Speedfan or HWMONITOR to check your temps? Also, blowing the dust out of just your RAM isn't enough. You need to blow out all your fans and other components, but pay particular attention to fans and graphics card(s).
  3. Herrwizo I don't think the PSU is the problem because sometimes it just turns off 5 min after I started up the PC without going into a game, its a Antec 750 w earthwatts, you can search it on Google. I really need a clear answer because this problem has been bothering me for a long time

This is indeed a good quality PS. In that case, I would lean more towards overheating, as imrazor also suggested.

Monitor your CPU and GPU temps while gaming and report back the maximum values reached.

Also, you probably meant "i7 920", not "i7 290", right?
