im currently building for gaming and im looking to get this card but the bad reviews worries me https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126117&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Solution
The RX 480 is not a very good product in the current market.

The GTX 1060 is slightly cheaper depending on where you buy it from, and also noticeable more powerful.

I'd rather go with nvidia or wait for new generation of amd cards that have new architecture as the current amd generation uses power hungry over-heating scheme. I have MSI r9 290 and when i overclock the card is very unstable and crashes a lot. Father has less expensive nvidia from mid tier and in some cases performs the same (being less powerfull).

http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2649-gtx-1060-3gb-vs-rx-480-4gb-benchmark

Every single gaming benchmark has the RX 480 lose to the GTX 1060, and you'll see this pattern repeat on almost every FPS based benchmark that I'm aware of.

Please tell me what things the RX 480 is better at, I'd love to hear about them.

Generally speaking - Radeon has an edge running DirectX 12. Even bigger edge running Vulkan API.

Can't find the full benchmarks as I'm at work but searching TH forums should show what I'm talking about.
