Kaby lake i7 7700k. Does it work with any motherboard or do inneed a special one?

Solution
Nowadays motherboard doesn't affect performance of the system. The only reason to go with the higher end ones is if you want more features (such as M.2 support, Overclocking) and Aesthetics.

In addition to the above, you'll need a board with Z270 chipset (or one of its cousins). The old 170 board doesn't support 7700K out of the box and you'll generally need to pop in a skylake CPU to update the BIOS before it can recognize your new CPU.
