Getting GTX 780 - need to know if my psu will support it

Hey so my friend is giving me his old GTX 780 and I currently have a turbolink ATX-XG500W PSU - I would love to not have to buy a new PSU - will it work?

While you may love to not buy a new PSU, you would probably love more having to not buy a new computer when that hand grenade blows up.

That PSU is junk, replace it.

That GPU needs at minimum a GOOD 500w PSU. Yours, is not.

From what little I just saw on that PSU, it is pretty low end. Also, Nvidia.com recommends a 600 watt PSU for the 780.

Simple answer ABSOLUTE NO
I recommend you to go 650w GOOD QUALITY PSU, Everyone loves an extra 50w-100w more headroom in their power supply and to reduce load stress on the PSU itself as well.

If you love to not buy a new QUALITY PSU, then prepare yourself for FIRE...
