My Mouse is acting up.

Hello everyone.
I don't know what's going on but it started about a week ago.

No matter what program or game I am in, every 10 mins or so my mouse freezes up and then it works again. I also get the "da-dun" sound as if I just plugged in a USB and the system just recognized it.

What is causing the mouse to freeze for 3 secs?

Using a Logitech G400.

That sounds alot like a shorted wire. You may need to embrace the unfortunate reality that a new mouse may be in order.

One solution you should try before hand, however, would be re-installing your mouse drivers to ensure it isn't a software issue.

You may also want to try using a different USB port to ensure it isn't a bad port.

Do you have another PC you could try plugging the mouse into? Check if it is a universal issue or just an issue with the computer itself.
