My ram wasn't seated properly. Could my motherboard or ram be fried?

I thought my ram was damaged but now I'm suspecting I had been running the system with the ram not properly seated. Is my motherboard most likely damaged now?

Solution
Half the pins were connected and the other half weren't correct? If so then watch out for any major problems or random crashes, freezes. I did the same and pushed the ram stick in while the pc was still running... but mine turned out to be fine. Do a memtest or something to test your ram and other motherboard components
