Just want to play lol and have twitch/youtube on different screen.

Right now was running an I5 2400 @3.10 GHZ with a RADEON HD 7770 and was running lol on the highest settings over 200 FPS, but my motherboard stopped recognizing the GPU so right now i'm just playing or using the computer with the integrateds graphics, I don't want to spend much money on a new I5 or so, so I would like to know what would be the best budget components I Could get?

The main issue is that the I5 2400 is very old and there are no motherboards with the socket 1155 in Mexico any more and if there are they are very expensive like over 200 USD so I would like to know what could be the best possible way to get a new Motherboard and CPU.

I have 2 screens 1 is 1080 23" and the other one is 720 20"

Thank you Very much

If all you want to do is have 2 screens and play LOL on one, just about any GPU can handle that. Rx 460 is a good choice, but equally an older second hand card or new gtx 1050 would manage. In face, the onboard graphics on your i5 2400 would have a decent crack it at. Might need to turn down some detail settings, but it'll manage OK at least.

Key question though: Did the "tech" explain how they knew it was the GPU?

You want to be absolutely sure it is, in fact...

I forgot to mention that I'm on a limited budget because I will be leaving the country in 3 or 4 months and I won't be able to bring the computer parts with me that's why I would like to stay on the best benefit/cost ratio :)

Are you sure it's the motherboard? You seem confident that the video card itself is fine, but from your description, I'd be suspecting the graphics card first... In my experience it's much more likely to die than a non-overclocked motherboard.

Absolutely the first thing you need to do is determine what has failed: Can you test the 7770 in another computer? Does it work? Can you borrow a GPU from someone else (even a old semi-useless one) just to test whether it works?

In answer to your question you could possibly pick up a cheap B250 mobo and one of the new hyperthreaded pentiums for less than $200. But that i5 2400 CPU you have is still absolutely fine for League of Legends. Don't replace that unless it really has died.

I went with one tech and told me it was the mobo, today I went to another and told me it's the gpu because they connected another one and it gave video, so I will have to get a new one, was thinking on a RX 460 4gb do you think that the I5 2400 could give bottleneck?

You want to be absolutely sure it is, in fact, the GPU before spending money on a replacement. A few years here on the forums have made me extremely sceptical of IT tech support. No doubt some are great, but some of the advice people have been given by so called "experts" is ridiculous.

The only way to mostly rule out the GPU is to see and test the computer working absolutely perfectly with an alternative GPU. Your i5 2400 has integrated graphics. Why not use that for a while and see if everything is fine? Try LoL, you might be happy enough with the performance. If not, buy a replacement card.
