Hello all and thank you very much for your time.

my rig is as follows: 5820k, h110i gtx cooler, asus x99 deluxe, 980 ti hybrid, ssd, windows 7

mouse: zowie ec2 evo @ 2300 DPI, 500 hz polling, windows 3/11

lately I have been having an issue with my mouse pointer shooting to the top left of my monitor if i lift it up even the slightest bit (flicks for counter-strike, dota, overwatch, etc) at this point i unplug the mouse and replug it into a different usb (i have 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1, ive tried them all and they all have the same problem) Upon plugging into a new port my mouse goes back to normal usually for a few minutes (which I believe indicates it's not a sensor problem?), then once again, it starts shooting to the top left of the screen. this happens in-game as well as on the desktop. i would just buy a new mouse but they do not make this mouse anymore and i am very paranoid over making sure all my sensitivities / everything will feel the same (been gaming for 13 years with the same sensitivity) anyone have any idea on what the problem could be?

thank you everyone

Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS as well as the chipset and USB drivers are all up to date? You may als wan to inspect the underside of your mouse to see if there is any dirt/debris. Likewise you may also want to inspect the mouse mat's surface to see if there are any lift off follicles that may cause the issue. Often times we overlook minor details but it doesn't hurt to backtrack and see if they were responsible for the mishap.

Have you also seen if changing the mouses DPI has any affect to the degree of the flicker? How old is the mouse btw?
