will a amd 6 core processor ( fx 6300) run a geforce gtx 1060 gaming 3gb graphics card?

I'm new to pc's and am currently running a n vidia gt730 2gb graphics card and looking to upgrade to the GeForce gtx 1060. I have a corsair 650 watt psu, with the required pins to run the graphics card. I'm just not sure if my pc will be able to handle it?

  1. Processor doesn't really matter, what's your motherboard model?

  6. No worries. When CPU-Z opens, click on the 3rd tab. It says "mainboard".

    OR

Follow this guide to use the command prompt.

Yes it will work. 1 PCIe x16 Slot. Basically just swap out your 730. Make sure to uninstall the video driver first. After you install the 1060 and power up the computer, go straight to GeForce.com and download the driver for the 1060.
