My soundcard stopped working and my internet is slower

So, first things first.
I tried to measure the voltage of my cha_fan1 on motherboard and I short-circuited it by mistake, which led to instant shut down accompanied by sound warning. Beep beep.
Not first time it happened, since I was tinkering with the PC for quiet a while. Not a big deal I thought.
Turned the PC on again, booted, loaded, everything as usual. Later I found out that my speakers arent working. No sound was coming out of them whatsoever. Tried to reinstall drivers, plugged in my EarPods and different speakers, nothing at all. Is it possible that my soundcard got fried with the short-circuit power spike? Is it possible that I fried JUST THE integrated soundcard?
Also, ever since that happened my internet is slower. Much slower. Normally I have like 80 Mbps, since then I get 10 Mbps max and (I know it sounds weird) everytime I try to upload a larger file (namely a photo to Facebook) my internet "disconnects" for 2 mins. When I try to plug a different PC to the same ethernet cable, I get my usual 80-90 Mbps.
I mean... Weird things are happening here.
My motherboard is Asus P8L67 LE.
My bios is up to date, and I might have done some changes in the bios setting that I don't fully understand, since I was trying to make my cha1_fan slow down. Maybe I changed something there?

Chassis fan can be controlled by Q-fan in the BIOS. It appears on page 2-24 of the manual.

For example:
Chassis Q-Fan Control -> Enabled
Chassis Fan Profile -> Silent

As temperature rises so will the fan speeds.

Your shorting out the system while powered on is known as customer induced damage, what you call "Weird things are happening here". Since the warranty is likely expired that would not be an issue. The cost for Asus to repair might be excessively high. I would recommend replacing it. Since that model is no longer manufactured, you might get one on eBay. You should be able to reactivate your Windows license if you replace a defective model with the same thing.
