Ao i have the asrock h110m dgs MOBO. I have the corsair 88r case. The mobo only has 4 standoff holes, the other holes are just tiny black ones. Also, one of the standoffs pre-installed in the case, isn't really a standoff. It's just this screw that you screw into the motherboard. So basically i have no idea weather 3 is enough or I somehow need more.

Solution
Line your board up with the case tray , if those 4 screwholes in the motherboard tray that line up with the 4 holes roughly round the outside corners of your board have raised bumps you do not use standoffs.
The 4 internal holes around your CPU are there simply because thats where preinstalled case mitx standoffs would be , the holes are left in your board so there is no chance of a short anywhere.
They're not to be used with screws , just use the outside 4 holes.

The case clearly has standoffs and there are no raised bumps.

Those 4 holes around CPU are for CPU cooler.
