Hey, Not certain if this the right section for this question looked did not see anything for scanners
Ok I have a scanner I brought while back as a thrift store a umax, brand, looked like it was never plugged it in and it worked fine, I then put it out in the shed do to having no room, been out there for several months, Decided to bring it back in and try to make room for it, I could not find the plug so decided to use one of those universal plugins.
I installed the software and did a scanner test and it said could not be found, tried reconnecting everything and and reinstalling the software,still did not work, I went into my computer and and saw the scanner icon form there decided to scan for that and it worked partway then the scanner froze halfway through the scan and keep making a whining noise, Now is this a hardware issue
or what, I was wondering if it could be that universal adapter I am using as it has only half the amps required...
