I currently have 2 x4GB DDR3 1333 CL9 sticks of ram in my PC running in dual channel. I have a total of 4 slots on the B85-DS3H-A Motherboard.

I've bought another 4GB stick of EXACTLY the same brand, speed and latency which was going to be used on another PC but is no longer needed.

Will adding this 3rd stick into my PC have any adverse effects? I sometimes start saturating the 8GB during heavy workloads but I still use the PC for gaming too.

Will the 2 original sticks still run in Dual Channel and then the Single additional stick will just do its thing in single? or will it kick all 3 into singe channel?

Solution
I use three sticks of RAM also, but nothing really comes out of it, maybe some faster loading times on games and applications but there are no huge effects. The third stick will operate in single channel mode, the two will still operate in dual channel.
