Can anyone help with Ram upgrade problem?
So I have a dell XPS 15 9550 that came with 2x4gb 2133. I bought the ripjaw 2x16gb 2400 kit since I noticed others using it.
When I installed both sticks everything was ok during light use. I tried to load a picture in adobe lightroom and the PC crashed. I did memtest86 test and passed. I did windows memory test and passed. I did a dell diagnostic and it crashed during the CPU test. I did intel processor diagnostic test and passed. I updated the bios and Installed one stick of the ripjaw and one factory and obviously running at 2133. All test pass. I switched the ripjaw to the other stick. All test passed. Put the 2 ripjaw sticks back in, runs ok on normal use, but crash on dell diagnostic, and when I loaded a video.
Weird it dosent crash on the memtest86 or windows test, but it does on the dell diagnostic. Also loads windows fine. I have attached a few photos of the Bios, but cant really change anything there(Unless its hidden). Also 20Gb(16+4gb)test and then one with both new ripjaws installed(32gb)

Could it be a windows or driver conflict problem? Is it because they run at 2400?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
((((Btw when I say dell diagnostic it's the one on the startup in boot options. I did the online one and same results))))

THANK YOU!!

Solution
Not all RAM chips are created equal. Try playing with your CAS timings, and clock frequency. Drop it down a bit until it becomes stable. Your CPU's memory controller may also be the part of the equation having the issue.
