Sorry if this may be a bit of a nooby type of thing but im looking for a simple answer.I want to upgrade to a AMD Fx8350 (mentioned below) from my current CPU and I am curious will the motherboard make any kind of bottleneck as It is not new.And so im wondering is there a point of a new motherboard?

Specs:
Motherboard:GA-78LMT-USB3 6.0
GPU: GeForce GTX 960 2GB
Ram: 12Gb 1333Mhz
PSU: 1000 Watt
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (Oc to 3.5Ghz)
(Planned to upgrade to Fx8350)
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 103

Solution

GA-78LMT-USB3 6.0 doesn't support the FX-8350. It will work but the cores will throttle to prevent the VRM's from frying. Lot's of people who sell builds go for this cheapo motherboard and make a nice profit.

At least here it says the Fx 8350 is compatible but what our saying is that it could fry and i am not planning to try that.
See im also planning to keep this Pc so I want it at its best and not fry anything xD.
So would you just recommend me to get a good new motherboard? (sorry if im not making much sense)

I decent board like this will support the 8350 without throttling.
