I've got a question for you guys, a friend of my made a build I totally agree with this build only I have some doubts about the CPU.
He said that I should buy the i7 7700k but I don't know if this is the smarted choice for gaming.
I could really use your help
Thank you for the help :)

Between the i7's there is not much difference in gaming performance. It depends on how much you are going to invest in overclocking it. There is the i7 6900K with 8 cores/16 threads, but does it perform better in gaming? Usually it doesn't. But if it needed to push a 3 ways sli at 4k, it would make a difference over a i7 7700k. Or if it is used in playing one of the newer RTS, were all cores are well used by the game. If money is no object your friend could even consider a Xeon setup.

If he is committed to the 1151 platform for gaming, then no, there is not a better i7 CPU at the moment.
Usually an i5 is more than enough for gaming, but many people choose an i7 because it has more cores (8 cores on an i7 compared to 4 on an i5) through hyperthreading. More modern games make good use of multiple CPU cores, so it will be more 'futureproof' to get a CPU with more cores.
Still many games nowadays still perform virtually the same on both CPU's, so for gaming the i7 would be throwing your money away. Money that can be used on a better GPU or other components for example.
