CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 Ghz
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: 8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 950
Power Supply: AEROCOOL KCAS 500W 80Plus Bronze

So i had some problems with my pc like a year ago and was forced to buy a new gpu, power supply and motherboard. After that all was good, until today... I was chilling on my desktop and suddenly my pc shuts down. When i try to boot up the pc the lights turn on for half a second and shuts down immediately and if i try to press the power button again nothing happens. Only happens the same again if i turn off and on the power supply.

So i tested the power supply by jump starting with a paperclip and it's working just fine. Then tried to boot the pc without the gpu and it's able to boot, just can't get video of course and makes some beeps after some seconds. My gpu doesn't have an integrated video card by the way... Also tried clearing the cmos by reseating the battery, and cleaned some dust but didn't change anything.

Been trying to find answers for the problem but i have no idea. The gpu, mobo and power supply are all less then a year old so i don't see what could be the problem.

Thanks in advance for the help

Yea i know it's not a great psu brand but it was all i could buy at that moment. What makes me confused is that i had no problems for almost a year. And also nothing seems to be fried, at least nothing smells burnt.

PSU performance can degrade over time, especially the cheap ones with their low quality capacitors.

This proves the point:
The PSU is the heart of your system, without it NOTHING works! It is the only component of your build that, if it fails, can destroy AL of your other components! Never "cheap out" on the PSU, it is false economy as it could become the most expensive component of your build, if you have to replace everything else as well.

Ok thanks man, i'm going this week to the store where i bought the PSU so they can get me a diagnosis and check if the problem it's really the PSU. I'll probably get a new one anyway, just hope it didn't damage anything.
