Hey. Recently my graphics card died on me, now my pc is running without one (just with the base one).
I'd like to purchase a new one and perhaps add more memory ram. My goal is gaming.

This are my specs:

motherboard - ASUS P8H67-M PRO
[https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H67M_PRO/specifications/]

graphics card - none

processor - Intel® Core™ i5-2500 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.70 GHz)

memory ram - 4GB Module - DDR3 1333MHz (x2, 8GB in total) | KVR1333D3N9/4G
[http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR1333D3N9_4G.pdf]

internal storage - Western Digital Blue WD10EALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"

power supply - 2HIX JET550w ATX Power Supply | 2HIXJET550W12

case - NOX CoolBay 25 Black | NOX006

Can I add this graphic card and these two memory rams?

graphics card - ASUS ROG GEFORCE STRIX GTX 1050 TI 4GB OC
[https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1050TI-O4G-GAMING/specifications/]

memory ram - RAM G.SKILL NT 8GB (1X8GB) DDR3-1333MHZ (x2)

I've tried to do some research, but I have doubts obviously.
Is this the best choice? Is it compatible?

I've read that the PCIe 3.0 card can work in a 2.0 slot because it's backwards compatible, I just need to update the motherboard bios.
But can this motherboard be updated to that point? And if so, can it run the gpu?

I also have doubts concerning the memory rams.
Are the ones I've chosen compatible with the ones I already have?

Do I have to stick with the PCIe 2.0 demands? If so, what graphics cards do you suggest?
For gaming purposes, I found these ones:
- GeForce GTX 680
- GeForce GTX 690
- Radeon RX 460 Sapphire Nitro 4G D5
- GeForce GT 730 ZOTAC ZT-71115-20L 4GB
- GeForce GTX 590
- GeForce GTX 580

I really need help. I'm a bit lost.
Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Sir OLIVANDERS

As U Said The Sandy Bridge Series Of Processors ( 2nd Generations Of Cpu ) Only Supports The PCI Express Generations 2

But Just For Informing U Its Only Works A Little Slower . About 5-7 Percent Lower Compared To PCI Express Generations 3

So Of That There Should Be No Problem

About Bios Updates And Issues U Should Know In Usuall U Don't Need Any Updates And IF Needed I Think There Should Be No Concern And Issue. It Will Work Fine

But Ur Question About Memories And Adding More Ram : In Some Cases We See Some Incompatibilities In Using From Different Brands Of Rams . So I Suggest U Stay Away From Using G Skill And Kingstone Ram Series With Each Other. It Should Damage Ur Memories And Also Ur Motherboard

If U...

If U Wanna Upgrade Ram ( Isnt Really Necessary ) U Should Buy 2x8 Gb Ram For Example From G Skill Brand . How Ever U Will Not See Any Noticeable Different In Upgrading Ram . Because About 99% Of Games Are OK With 8Gb Ram And Also Upgrading From DDR3 Ram To DDR4 Ram Can Give U A Difference U Can Notice ( Unfortunately Its Not Possible For Ur Mobo Socker :( )

Also The Gtx 1050 Ti Is Completely Ok And Compatible With Ur System No Need To Worry . How Ever Ur System Is Quite Old But For Gaming Its Just Depends On Ur Gaming Desires And Demands. For Example If U Wanna Play
Witcher III Or Bf I Or Assassins Creed Unity In 90 Fps On 4k Well Its Impossible :/ But U Will Face A Good Optimization In Games With Ur New Graphic Card

Any More Dilemma Or Questions ?! Well Keep Us Posted :)

Best Regards / Khd :p
