How to connect RGB Led Strips to Computer's power supply?

Recently I've made a custom wall mount pc case. For diffused light on the background of that case I've bought color changing RGB Led strips with remote control, RGB control box & an adapter. It's quite annoying that led lights are still on after the pc shuts down because that adapter is being used separately for RGB Led strips. Now I'm thinking to connect that RGB Control box with pc power supply so that if I turn off the computer it'll then switch off the light too. Now if I cut the ac/dc adapter's line in the middle without the ac/dc board & attach it with the 4pin power cable of power supply will it work? Or do I've to join the line together which came out from the ac/dc adapter's motherboard with the 4 pin power cable of psu? The simple question is with the ac/dc adapters line or the ac/dc adapter with the motherboard? And which color cable should I join together? I think this information will help the experts to understand briefly, On the ac/dc adapter it's written Input: AC 100-240v-50/60Hz & Output: DC12V-2A. And on the RGB control box(IR Remote Control) it's written Input voltage: DC12V Outputcurrent: 6A (max). Please help

You are trying alot of stuff the will overcomplicate the process, if you want an easy fast solution then just split the power AC cable, isolate the hot, Attach a 120V pushbotton or flick switch/rocker to it, now when you turn off the computer also flick the switch to the RBG lights.

By connecting them directly to your power supply you will lose out on the RBG, each of the wires is a different hot for the R or the B or the G, the box allows you to swap between them, so by connecting them directly you are going to have to pick 1 of the 3 colors to have.

you cannot connect the input to the power supply for the box.

you could get something like this you plug pc in master outlet and light in the controlled one so when pc is off light goes and when pc is on light receive power .http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/categories/power/surge-protection-and-power-conditioning/surge-protection-devices/surgearrest-home-office/_/N-138bjqb;jsessionid=elH+d-7AdS6UXlQ+-fiU0HBj.prod_store02-2

Thanks for your generous opinion but I don't think you understand my problem. Why do I need a on/off switch where I already got a remote to turn it off? But it seems a little messy to turn off the pc first & then led's later. Here's a link I give you one guy did. But unfortunately I couldn't figure out properly. So I need some sort expert advice. Plz do watch this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-FtEDfdUww
