Core 2 Quad Q9300 Overclock with stock cooler?

I've heard you can overclock a q9300 quite comfortably with stock cooler, but at what frequency would you recommend stopping at? I have never overclocked before. Specs -
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
asus p5p41t le
Powercolor HD 6970 2gb
2x4gb 1333 ddr3
stock cooler for intel cpu
600w psu

Overclocking is never a sure thing. You should always start with small increments, test for several hours, make a small increment and retest. Rinse and repeat until your system crashes during a test. You might get to 3.2GHz or you may not even get to 2.51Ghz.
