Hello guys. I would like to know if I can OC my i7 3770 non-k.
Mobo : Asrock h61m-vg4

What do you think? Is it possible with that motherboard?

You may be able to get 100-150MHz overclock by overclocking the bus from 100MHz to 103-105MHz if motherboard allows it; but you can not overclock via changing the multiplier, as Z-series motherboard is needed for that.

I don't really know much about OC but the option I have on my BIOS is to change the cpu ratio from 34 which is the default to what I want. So is it gonna give me problems if I try to OC for 300-400MHz?

Even if your motherboard allows you to change multiplier to a higher one- this will not give overclock. Z-series motherboard like Z75 or Z77 is required to do any overclock via multiplier. If you want to just try on H61- you may try, there is no risk to components if you do it on the same voltage. It is just that it is locked.

With 3rd and 2nd intel i7 and i5 CPU generation you can get slight overclock of + 400 mhz to turbo speeds i know for sure that it works for z67,z75,z77 motherboards but im not sure for h61.
All you have to do is go to BIOS and set per core ration for each core.
So it should be like this for your i7 3770
1 Core 43
2 Core 43
3 Core 42
4 Core 41
If your mobo allows you to do that you will get nice little OC with help of Turbo Boost.
You can use CPUID HWMonitor to monitor temps, core speed etc ...

Yeah I understand but I don't have any options to change ratio per core sadly. The only option I have is CPU Ratio which I can choose between Auto and All Core and when I set it to All Core I can set the multiplier at 39 Max but I'm not sure if all my cores are running at 3.9ghz all the time. Btw I disabled Intel speedstep.

Default speed of my CPU is 3.4ghz

yeah but I don't see the speed going to 3.9 on the task manager... Don't know.
