I was wondering if I should get a rx 480 running at 1080p max settings or if I should just get a gtx 1070 running at 1440p or maybe still even 1080p. I am planning on playing games like dead by daylight, rainbow six, G mod, and h1Z1. What would be the best choice of a graphics card if I want the highest fps?

I'm using a 980 Ti at 1440p and I can max everything except Mankind Divided but not even a GTX 1080 can max that game. An overclocked 980 Ti is roughly equal to a stock GTX 1070. A factory overclocked 1070 is quite a bit faster. What screen size you looking at? 27" and up should be 1440p. 27" looks terrible ( in my opinion ) at 1080p. You can see pixels.

If I were to get a gtx 1070 would it be smarter to run it at 1080p with a higher fps or should I run it at 1440p with a lower fps?

What would be some of the frame rates on those games depending on 1080p or 1440p?
