Built my first PC today. I have followed the motherboard manual step by step and I just tried to boot the PC up. I am not getting a signal from the HDMI, VGA or DVI.

The PC turns on. The fans and LEDs are on but my monitor says HDMI / VGA / DVI is not connected.

I went through the manual again to see if I missed anything. I double checked the connections.
1. Installed processor into motherboard
2. Installed the processor fan
3. Installed the RAM into slot 2 and 4 according to the manual
4. Plugged in USB 2.0, USB 3.0, CPU fan, and case fan.
5. Installed PSU
6. Plugged in the 8-pin and 24-pin PSU connectors into the motherboard
7. Plugged in the HD Audio (10-1 pin)
8. Installed the SSD and HDD with the SATA cables and power supply for them.
9. Plugged in the system pancel connectors (PWR_LED+ -, PWR_SW, HDD_LED, Reset SW)

I skipped plugging in the Thermal Sensor Connector (2-pin T_SENSOR) because it didn't come with the connector.

I skipped the ROG Extension - ROG_EXT connector (18-1 pin ROG_EXT) because it didn't come with the connector.

I skipped the TPM connector (14-1 pin TPM) because it didn't come with the connector.

I also tried every combination of single ram use and dual ram use but I still get no signal.

I also tried removing the graphics card and using the motherboards HDMI / VGA but I still get no signal.

My components

Intel core i5-7500
Asus B150 LGA1151
EVGA Geforce GTX 1070
Corsair CXM 650W 80+ Bronze

Mushkin Blackline 16GB x2
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB

This is my first gaming PC and I am very bummed out atm because I can't get anything to work. Any suggestions?

Are the steps I skipped the problem?

EDIT: I have found this compatibility note for my MOBO.
"Some Intel B150 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs."
This is most likely the problem (hopefully). I will try updating the MOBO or getting a different CPU.

Solution
This one doesn't support a bios update without a cpu. Did you buy your parts online? If it is from a place nearby, try contacting them if you can send it back so they can update it or return your cpu and get a skylake one!

Try with the absolute basics, remove hdd,the gpu and the 1 stick of RAM, remain with only 1 stick of ram in slot 2 and the cpu of course and see what happens. If it doesn't work, reseat cpu and check mobo cables are connected well.

I tried removing 1 stick of RAM, the GPU and the HDD - didn't work.
I checked the CPU to see if it was properly placed.. The triangle of the CPU matched up with the triangle on the MOBO. I rechecked the cables to see if they were connected well - didn't work.

I am at a loss. I don't know what I should do... Anybody else have any ideas for me? I am super bummed out right now

I would like to try to update the BIOS for my MOBO.
Is it possible to update the MOBO without a CPU?

I bought my parts online.
The MOBO came from NCIX
the CPU came from DirectCanada

I will email NCIX to see if they can update the MOBO for me. If not, then I'll either have to return the b150 for a b250 or return the CPU for a different one. Bugs me that this might not even be the problem but I am hoping it is.

Thanks for the help, friend.
