Hi!

The Corsair Carbide 300R casing comes with 2x120mm fans (1 front, 1 back).
I am considering buying another 140mm fan (Noctua NF-S12B) to be put in the front.
A few extra and rightly placed fans always help out, but I'm curious whether I really need it or will those two included do the job well enough on their own?

I don't intend overclocking the cpu at the moment.

Specs:

asus z170 pro gaming
i7-6700k
gigabyte gtx1070 G1 gaming
16gb
cooler master hyper 212x

Solution
Yep, all mentioned are good enough with the fans included. Especially because the CPU and GPU you're buying are very cool running parts anyways to be honest.

I do intend buying better and extra fans later on. But for now wouldn't like to go into that if the standard casing fans are good enough.

Thanks!

I'm running old and therefore hotter equipment with 2x140 inlet and 1x140 outlet, you don't need many fans. You used to, when CPU TDP's of 125W were common, and when GPU TDP's were up in the 200+ range, you had to get rid that hot air quickly, but so much less heat is generated today that this is less of an issue.

I'm not really looking for an up-to-date case. This was in my price range and seemed to have all I need.
But I'm in Croatia and am buying it here.

I assumed such a thing. It's just that I wanted to be sure before buying it. I see all the talk about cooling your HW and I can see why it matters.
Thanks for the info!

Just thought maybe we could've suggested a more recent case with even better features for the same price. Up to you.

Thanks mate!
I'll definitely give those a look.
Just one more thing, considering my build, would the standard fans included with those casing be enough to keep it cool inside?

Thank you for the feedback.
I think I'll definitely skip the 300R now. The ones you recommended do seem quite more attractive and within the same price range.
Cheers mate!
