A have a Windows 2008 Server machine with a Foxconn G31MX motherboard which has been running OK for years, but in the last couple of weeks it has refused to boot past the Foxconn BIOS splash screen unless I remove the 2 USB devices which are connected to it (KVM switch and Seagate external HDD). Now when I remove the USB devices (and use a PS/2 keyboard) and try booting in safe mode (with networking) the machine attempts to boot but after 20 minutes it only gets as far as a blank screen with a mouse cursor on it. That's as far as it gets - it never gets as far as the login screen.
Any ideas?
