Hey,
I have an Asus laptop and for the past day it has shown no wifi connections available. My phone is connected, the wifi is working but my computer just doesn't recognize it. It's not that it won't connect, no options are even available for it to connect to. I've restarted the router and my laptop and it did nothing.

Any thoughts?

Solution
You've probably already checked this, but a common problem many of my friends (and I) have made is not noticing that wifi is turned off. There is usually a function key on laptops that turns it on and off.

If that's not it, it may be that the laptop wifi chip is bad. You could pick up a cheap USB wifi adapter and see if that brings in any networks.

I have read a bunch of other threads on here and none of the solutions worked unfortunately. I have tried connecting in multiple areas (ie: my wifi, friends house etc). None of the connections show up so I am pretty sure it is a problem with my computer not the wifi

Is wifi card enabled in device manager?
Does your laptop by chance have a physical switch on it for wifi?
If WIN 10 does your laptop show wifi as enable?

If wifi is in fact enabled and "working" on laptop, try taking laptop into room with router and see if it gets a signal. If it does then your antenna cables have come loose

If that is not the case then go into device manager and uninstall the card (do not delete the driver), reboot, and then allow system to reinstal the wifi driver.
The computer will "forget" all of your saved wifi passwords so you will need to re-enter those.
