My Netgear A6200 usb wifi adapter has been disconnecting randomly. The windows "USB Disconnect" sound plays and I lose my wifi, but then if I unplug and plug it back in, it works perfectly. The wifi adapter itself also keeps the "connected" status light on when this happens until of course I unplug it.

Things I have tried:
Different USB port(both front panel and directly to the mobo)
Reinstalling drivers
Removing "Fast boot" as recommended by Microsoft through a thread
Removing all "Power management" options through Device Manager
Different USB wifi adapter (TP Link TL-WN722N)

It is only the wifi adapter USB peripheral that does this.

Does the TP Link wifi adapter disconnect regularaly as well?

If it does then the problem is simpley to do with your wifi connection.
Could be that your neighbor's wifi is stronger and is interfering/overpowering your signal
Could be that switching to a PCI-E type wifi card would get you a better signal
Could be that moving your router would help
Could be that no matter the location/obstacles of your room vs the router is to much for a reliable wifi signal

You might try a powerline network adapter instead of wifi
Naturally if you can run a hardwired lan cable from router to PC that would be ideal.

Yes the TP link does disconnect regularly as well, however it is the "USB disconnect" sound coming from my computer, so I would be shocked if it was my wifi. In other words, the "wifi icon" in my taskbar goes away and just the "disconnected lan" icon appears. As if it is not detecting a wifi adapter plugged in.
