One last check for my gaming PC rebuild specs

I am about ready to place the order on the parts for my gaming pc rebuild but I want one final input on the parts that I have selected. The only parts that I am saving on the list from my previous build are the blu ray drive and case. I am also temporarily holding onto my GTX 970 until no later than July. I am holding off on replacing the GPU in case Nvidia releases either an update or successor to the GTX 1000 series. If there is either no new release or announcement of a new GPU by July, then I will go with either the GTX 1070 or 1080. I have been out of the technology loop for awhile because of school commitments and have a question about the CPU. Is Kaby Lake the latest generation of Intel CPUs available and is the Kaby Lake i5-7600K, which is listed below on the parts list, the latest top end i5 available? Thanks in advance.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from jpolk1138 : "Need a second opinion on gaming PC build"

A fine build....
You can buy as is.

A couple of minor thoughts:

1. Why two 2tb drives?
I might buy one initially and buy a second whenever I ran out of room.
Or, buy a single 4tb drive for storage.

Then, I think Western Digital will tend to be more reliable.
stats are hard to find though. WD red would be a good pick, I think

2. When you buy your graphics card, buy EVGA and register your card promptly so you are eligible for their 90 day free trade up option.
Details on their web site.

3. The case comes with fans, why change?

4. Motherboard has 4 rear panel 3.1 ports and two more 2.0 rear panel. Do you really need more
