Spec01 or Spec0 case
Antes upgrade 120mm fans
Motherboard: gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5
CPU: FX Series six-core
CPU Cooler:212 cooler with fan
RAM: 16GB DDR3 2133Mhz (2x8)
1-Kingston 12GB SSD
1-PNY 240GB SSD
Graphics: EVGA GeForce 750ti 2GB
PSU:430 EVGA

Like I said I know nothing about gaming computers, is this a good buy for newer games? And a all around computer to do video editing? My nephew wants a PC for his Bday. Thank you for your help

Quite a deal then, but that CPU is basically as fast as it is going to get. It would be a poor investment for upgrading. (The first thing would be to replace the CPU/Motherboard/Ram)

The GPU is contemporary, but on the low end of mainstream gaming. It was superseded by products like the GTX950 and the GTX1050/GTX1050Ti/RX460.

Power supply is lacking in capacity and quality for future upgrades.

240GB SSD is a nice touch though, but a hard drive would be needed for the bulk storage of recorded video.

It's only going for $400 plus a monitor, if I purchase it all my nephewhas to do is buy upgrades for it himself?

Last I heard he wanted to play Gray's mod, a CPU to handle GTA, and other mainstream games. I don't think we'll have to worry about 4k or 2k he's not that spoiled lol. Just a good resolution

I'm able to get this computer since the seller is in my area but do any of you guys recommend "ibuypower" pcs? All I ever heard was you should always build your own pc since it'll always be cheaper than buying a prebuilt one from a company, but are these good quality?

That's sounds do able, it's not 60 but not bad. Do you recommend any computers from the website ibuypower? Just looking at my options, the computer I'm asking about now is being sold by me and I can get it any time.

As a rule no, ibuypower's markups are reasonable, but still more than building it yourself. They don't typically sell anything in that price range either.

With a $400 budget I would probably check Newegg and its refurbished/open box computers and then add a GTX1050 or RX460. Not going to get a monitor or SSD that way either.
