So, a few months ago i installed a new SSD, there was a lot of trouble like the PC couldn't find it and stuff. I had to wait a week untill a PC guy fiexed it. Now i need to reset my pc. Clean everything and basically reset windows to how it first was. I have an SSD and a HDD. If i reset windows completely, will windows reinstall back to the HDD? Or still be in the SSD? Please help me as fast as you can, thanks.

I also use Windows 10.

Solution

Correct.
Delete ALL partitions. Either Disk Management or commandline diskpart.

It depends on what you selected as the boot drive or what option it gives when you install a new version of windows. A good thing you can do is take out the hard drive and reset the ssd, then reset the hard drive

So what do you recomend me do? Is there any way on how to check what the boot drive is? Should i try to reset and see if it gives me an option of where to install windows?

Where is the OS installed now?
Where it goes depends a LOT on how you do this 'reset'.

If you want to do a full clean install:
Disconnect all drives except the SSD
Install the OS on the SSD
Later, reconnect the HDD and wipe it.

What size/make/model is the SSD?

Do you have a Windows Disc or Flash drive? If so:

1. Unplug All drives except for DVD drive (if installing windows from disc) and the SSD
2. When you first power on, quickly press the key that takes you to boot options in your BIOS (Likely F11 or something like that)
3. Select to boot from CD/DVD drive where your windows disc is installed
4. Follow all prompts, including entering your product key
5. When prompted to select where to install windows (on your SSD) find the current windows partitions and select them, and then click 'Delete'
6. Delete everything that you can
7. When that's done, do not continue with windows installation unless you want to install windows (fresh install) onto your SSD
8. If you want your hard drive to be cleaned of everything, just install windows into your SSD like you were and then go to 'Disk Management' in your control panel, or just search for it if using win8/10
9. You can see all attached drives, delete all partitions of drives that you're not using to boot from windows.

Now You have a fresh install of windows on SSD and a clean hard drive.

(I've been dealing with the exact same thing as you today, it's a pain, but pretty straight forward.)

It's a Samsung 850 EVO or something like that, 250GB and in size it's pretty small i think.
OS is installed on the SSD, and i want to completely reset the drives. Delete everything and re-install windows.

One more thing i can say is that when i didn't have the SSD, what i did was go to [Windows 10] Start>Settings>Update & Security>Recovery>Reset This PC.

I just need to be sure if i reset the whole PC and remove everything and re-install windows that it will re-install on the SSD and not reset back to the HDD.

As above.
Disconnect the HDD.
Boot from your Win 10 install media, and wipe and reinstall on the SSD.

It can't accidentally install to a drive that is not connected.

If you leave the HDD connected, the OS will probably install the boot partition to the HDD.
LAter, if you wish to take that drive out, no boot for you.

Or, I've seen people accidentally wipe and install to the wrong drive.
