So my computer is connected to the router via a power-line adapter. If i test my connection on a good day i get 30 mbps and yet on a bad day, randomly, it will drop to 1 mbps.

I have no way to check the wireless speed on the same computer but on every other device i have that connects to the router wirelessly no matter when i test the speed will all say that im getting 65-70 mbps. This means when my wired connection drops there is no change to my wireless.

I was happily downloading a file at 3mbps when all of a sudden it dropped and wont exceed 300kbps. I cant figure out why that would happen.

The only thing ive noticed that might be something is that ipv6 has no internet access, but honestly i dont know what that means.

Solution
IPv6 has nothing to do this, it is totally normal for it to say no internet access.

Powerline is hit or miss. The old generation is much more miss, but even the newer AV2 standard ones can be very prone to interference due to dirty power, or things like electric motors or florescent lights being on the same circuit.

Is the powerline adapter plugged straight into the wall outlet at both ends? Even plugging it into a power strip can cause issues like you are describing.
