Recently, my GTX 970 has been acting up. As I purchased it refurbished, it had a 1 year warranty. Lesson learned, no more refurbs.

I am now looking for the best replacement for the money (About $250). I'm considering the following:

GTX 1060 6GB
AMD 480
AMD Fury (Air cooled)

Any recommendations in helping pick an ideal card would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Any of the 3 would do you fine for 1080p gaming. Me personally would go with the 1060 6gb due to past issues I've had with AMD/ATI drivers. If you do go with the 1060, make sure you go 6gb and dual fans. The single fan ones work, but they generally have to work harder (hence louder) to properly cool the card.

I have an RX480 by msi and it runs high end games like titanfall 2 at max settings at 60 fps consistently, was contemplating the 1060 however through the updated drivers that msi has rolled out I have noticed a significant increase in performance and in some cases actually outperforms the 1060. Also right now on amazon its running for $244.99 so right in that budget spot. :) cheers mate!
