More RAM Or SSD

Solution
If you had 4GB of RAM or less, I'd say RAM. But since you have 8GB (enough for current gaming standards), the SSD is definitely the best option.

My desktop computer has 16GB of RAM in it (i5 haswell) and I still noticed a large difference when I switched my OS to a SSD drive; even against 3rd party programs designed to use extra RAM for caching to speed up platter drive access.

I also have a laptop with 8GB in it (i5 broadwell) and it felt nearly useless due to slow loading with its 5400 rpm drive until I replaced it with a SSD as well.

Well mainly gaming but the SSD would speed up things what do you suggest?

I would go for the ssd as you could increase boot times if you put windows onto it along with load times in certain games. If you were to replace RAM it is recommended that you replace all of it (remove the 8gb currently installed and buy a 16gb pack).

Realize that adding 8gb of ram is not guaranteed to work.
Ram must be matched. Even the same part number can differ enough to not let it work.

Regardless, if you have a ssd for windows, you will never go back. It makes everything you do so much quicker.
