What should I upgrade first?

I currently have an i5 4460 and a gtx 960 2gb. I'm trying to get into streaming but I don't know if I should upgrade my cpu or gpu first. For the new gpu I was looking at a gtx 1070 and if I do the processor I'm going to get a whole new motherboard cpu and memory. Looking at i7 6700k. Thoughts and input would be appreciated

You could do either really. If you don't want to upgrade your mobo and ram then the 4790k is an option. If you're streaming games then I'd probably upgrade the processor first, but unless you're going to be using a high bitrate with high stream quality then you can probably get by on what you have now. All I'd recommend is to not spend too much money on streaming equipment just in case you don't like it or doesn't work out.

My advice is to start streaming now, with what you have. Think of it as a test. Then after you've streamed enough to experience problems, identify the issues that are causing those problems. It might be CPU related, it might be GPU related. But you'll know for sure what you need to upgrade. Right now, for all you know you don't need to upgrade anything or you might need to upgrade everything, or something in between. Unless of course this is just an excuse to build a new computer lol.
