Computer randomly going to sleep

Hey there guys,
I was wondering if anybody could help me fix a problem I've constantly been having with my computers. I've recently built a new computer since my old laptop constantly kept going into sleep mode whenever playing games and occasionally when casually just surfing the internet. Now that I'd built this new computer, I was hoping that the problem would obviously go away with a whole new set of parts, but the problem still continues. Whether it is a simple coincidence or directly related is something I want to know. I've been checking my cpu temperatures and they usually range from mid 40's to mid 50's when on load and have tested different psu's, but no success. I'm very certain that the problem is more on the software side, but things like changing the advanced power options in windows didn't help either. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite p755 and my computer's spec's are
- i7 6700k, H105 Cooler, Superclocked GTX 1070, MSI Z170A
Another random occurrence is that windows media would randomly pop up on my old laptop, and although it hasn't been happening on my new computer, whenever I check the Event Viewer, it says that it has attempted to launch it. Event viewer also says something about server not responding to DCOM at the time of sleeping or shutting down. If there's another place to look about system logs and reasons as to why the computer is doing what it does, that'd be great to know.
Thanks a lot guys, I've tried most common solutions, but if you guys have one that you'd know about, that'd be great.
