I'm about to spend 500-600 on a complete upgrade to my system involving cpu, mobo, case. The toughest game I have is Dragon Age Inquisition. I want to be able to play at 50fps or more.I am thinking of:

Fx8320 OCed with 212 evo
Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
Rosewill Viper z case
I have 8gb Ballistix Tactical lp and will probably match it later.
I also have Gigabyte r7 370 2gb but want to upgrade to rx 470.
I have 1tb,2 tb hdds as well as a dvd burner.
Also have EVGA 850 BQ PS

Any thoughts or changes to recommend? I much prefer Amd parts.

FX series is a bad idea in 2017, because they were released in 2012. Your choice today is one of Intel's 6xxx or 7xxx CPUs, probably an i5 6500. AMD is releasing a new CPU series in a few months, if you're willing to wait, but don't buy an FX.

For what it's worth, CPU bottlenecks like you're thinking of don't exist. You need a certain amount of CPU to deliver 50fps in Dragon Age, and it doesn't matter what GPU you have, it won't change what CPU you need to get that framerate.

Luckily, Dragon Age is pretty lite on the CPU:

Looks like you'd acheive what you're looking for with any modern Core i5, with a Core i3 6xxx or 7xxx, and maybe even with a Pentium G4560.
