So originally I created a gaming computer that could play any game from the Windows XP time period and below (Basically, Crysis 1 down to Day of the Tentacle). I recent got a copy of a fresh install for Windows 7 and created a Dual Boot for this computer. I am currently using a AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB Sapphire OC edition GPU on this desktop computer as I read that the HD 7770 is the best graphics card for Windows XP. If I were to completely rebuild a gaming rig from scratch would there be a disadvantage to installing say a GTX 1080 on a computer and then feeling like playing some Warcraft III on the Windows XP boot? Since Windows XP only has 3.5 GBs of usable RAM would this cause problems with an awesome dual booted gaming rig with like a 1080 or Titan X? Thanks.

Solution
No issues at all as long as there are still drivers for windows XP, if nvidia has listed XP drivers for a GTX 1080 then you'll be fine.

Make sure to have a good PSU to handle your upgrade.
