Hello. I have a motherboard with dual RJ-45 ports. My modem is downstairs and I have a cable connection from it to my pc. The second port connects to my xbox 360. I managed to share the internet on my xbox, but I also need to forward port 3074 for stable multiplayer (the connection test on the console gives a warning if the port is not forwarded). When it's directly connected to the modem, upnp handles it fine. But with the shared connection, it doesn't work. I disabled it and tried to forward manually, but after hours of testing I got nowhere. I know this isn't an xbox forum but it seems more like a pc issue so I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers. Thank you!

That is always an option. I was trying to share through my pc to reduce clutter. Are you certain I just need a switch and not another router?

Great! Switches are cheap enough. If all else fails, I have that as a solution. Thank you kindly.
