My ethernet cable is not working

I have tried the wire with other laptops and they work perfectly but my laptop seems to have a problem...it detects the cable and shows that there is internet connection but then when i try to connect to the internet... it shows that there is no internet connection with the hazard triangular sign... i have tried re installing the ethernet driver but it is still the same
 
Solution
try these
1. Reinstall your network adapter drivers by going control panel/device manager/network adapters uninstall the drivers BUT make sure "Delete the driver software for this device" is unchecked after you click uninstall then click "Action" and click "Scan for
hardware changes" it will scan some missing drivers and it will reinstall the network adapter drivers after finishing restart your pc.
2. launch cmd "run as administrator" then type this command: (netsh int reset) OR (netsh int reset reset.log) then restart your computer.
3. go to control panel/network and sharing center/change adapter settings then right click on Local Area Connection select properties disable ipv6 then select ipv4 click properties make sure that "Obtain...

When you speak of connecting the ethernet to other laptops is the internet you're getting through the wire based off a router or from your ISP? If the latter you're probably going to need to input your IP's within the network sharing center(provided we're talking about Microsoft;s Windows OS platform).

Mind sharing the laptop's you've used and how your ethernet cable is connected to the source?

try these
