Hi,
I'm currently running a Lenovo Ideacentre 300-20ISH and wanted to upgrade the integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 card (I'm pretty sure it's the performance bottleneck atm) but I don't really have any experience upgrading PCs.

I'm currently debating the Nvidia Geforce GT 730, it's definitely not the best but it'll boost the VRAM from the current 128MB to 1GB.
Is there a better card for around or less than £90?
How do I know whether I'll need a better PSU, and if so, what one would be best?
Is there anything else I should be considering?

Solution

12gb of ram and a i7 6700 correct?

there are gpu less versions it seems...

it has a 250w power supply, so you are going to need to replace it before you can get anything decent

since the motherboard is a lenovo custom job, you will also need to buy a 24-pin to 10-pin adapter made for lenovo motherboards

for under £90 this is going to be the best:

HD 530 is the cpu built in

Which is odd since that particular model is supposed to have a gtx 750 ti

open the case and look inside, is there a card in the first pcie slot?

Sorry I probably should have mentioned earlier, it's got 8GB of RAM with the i5-6400
What wattage power supply would you recommend for that card?

And, thank you for the help, too.

going to need this as well

Lenovo 10-pin adapter

sadly there is a downside to using the adapter, windows itself will power on/off as it should but you will also need to switch the power supply off by using it's switch to completely power it down

this would be plenty
