Looking good. I am currently aiming at 144hz 1440p at Ultra, I hope this can do the job. I think I will replace the HDD with a 6GB version instead and why not a Platinum PSU?

Also looking very good. How about 3 1440p 144hz 27inch monitors instead?

I have seen some benchmarks, and 4 way SLI titans does not seem like a good idea. I will be sticking to 2 Video Cards.

platinum, gold etc etc are not an indicator of quality

just merely efficiency

Hmmm. I'm either going to go with those 3 monitors or this widescreen monitor LG 34UC79G-B. Why not 2 Titan XP's? Would there be much difference?

On PC Partpicker Video Card Page go to Chipset on left pane and click Show All.... you will find TITAN X PASCAL on bottom of the list.

You will have to edit the price manually as it is showing $1,600 which is over priced.

You get to a point in a gaming PC where you can throw 5K more money into it and get little to no performance increase.
This is all the money I could see spending on a PC for gaming, streaming, editing and so on, unless your using professional work programs thus making a living using the PC.

I consider this an experimental build, mostly for VR, Editing and of course Gaming. I want such an overkill build for 'Future Proofing' If $10k would be to much, I will happily lower the max budget to $5k

Zerk2012

Titan

Their no such thing as future proofing. What you can buy today can be replaced with better parts in a years time.
The PC I listed above will do everything you stated and leave you 7K . You could do a full rebuild 2X in the future to the latest parts.

As long as I can play at 144fps at 1440p on this build and Edit/Render fast, then sure why not.
A friend recommended two 980ti G1's how are they?
