Hi all, I am having problem putting together my new PC,
I hear 3 beeps when I first boot my PC and it is continuous,
I read in the manual that its a memory problem,
Can someone tell me if my ram is comparable with my board?
My ram is (hmt41gu6bfr8a-pbn0 AA 1446) and my board is (Intel DH67CL)

Thanks and I appreciate any help.

So the problem was not the ram, it was that the board needs a bios update to support the ivy bridge chipset, and I didnt have another cpu that would work in it to update the bios so I returned the motherboard and the ram that I got and bought a new motherboard alltogether. It was a pain but at least I know what the problem was now, Thanks for all the help.

yes, memory

insert properly the ram modules, they are not completely inserted

eject modules and reseat them into the slot

how many ram sticks do you have there?

on what of the four ram slots did you inserted the ram modules?

should be marked as dimm0 to dimm 3 or dimm 1 to dimm 4

please put only one on the dimm 0 or dimm1 and see if that lets you boot the machine

it is a old mainboard, it seems that is not compatible with that ram module, you need to find 2x4gb at that speed, kingston or corsair

perhaps toshiba or samsung, it is one of those mainboards that complains for these details

yes, that seems to be the case, the intel board doesn't like that ram stick, something common with intel mainboards

never saw that brand, could repeat the situation you have now

this one is better

i have two of those on a old machine, bought them separately and they work perfectly

now, if we depend on the list of supported ram modules from intel, the list is very limited

it looks like kingston or samsung to go for sure
