HI,

I am away to upgrade my PC and need some advice.

I currently have a AMD Pheom x4 955 3.21GHz on a Sabbertooth 990FX. I am away to replace the CPU with a FX 8300.
My question is do I need to reset the CMOS after I install the FX 8300 before booting?

Also I am also installing a RX 480. am I best to install the CPU first and make sure everything is working then install the GPU or am i best to install both components at the same time?

Thanks

I would use DDU before installing your new gpu to remove all the old drivers: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

You shouldn't need to clear cmos for a new cpu, but it can't hurt.

It's good thing to do. Also check out if your mobo does not need a BIOS upgrade first for new CPU.

Does not matter, as long as both are in working condition. If you suspect one of them may not work (and the fact that given component is brand new DOES NOT guarantee it works), you may as well install them one by one. Order of installation does not matter either.
