Hello!

I recently upgraded to an all new computer.

I was wondering what I could sell my old one for?

Its got an Athlon II processor, msi 7950, 8GB's of hyperx ram, 1000w PSU (modular and lost most of the modular parts) and a 1TB HDD and a couple of DVD players.

Was thinking like 200/250?

Cheers,
Daniel

Solution
A pc will often fetch more if it is disassembled and the parts sold individually.
That is because it is unlikely that a buyer will want exactly the same pc.
Find your parts in used condition on ebay.
Then filter on completed auctions,
In green you will see what the part actually sold for.

Cases are a problem, they are heavy and costly to ship.

If you can sell locally via craigs list that might be best.
It will fetch want the buyer will pay.

Reckon I should sell parts then?

You'll most likely get more when you sell the parts separately than when you sell it as a whole. 200 is fair but most people will be turned of by the athlon II and the 1000w psu due to the weak cpu and overkill psu.
