Hi guys,
I'm doing a rig for my cousin and I usually tend to go for nvidia, but in this case, where the money is limited, I've realized that maybe AMD has its place here. At first I was looking for a 1050ti but then, when searching monitors, I realized that for good price I could buy a 24" with freesync, so then I ask...why not going for a 460 with a 75hz freesync monitor?

Do you think this would run smoother than a 1050ti with a non gsync 75hz monitor?

thanks!

Solution
For the 75 refresh rate the 1050ti is fast enough that the freesync shouldn't matter. I would suggest a 470 tho as its only about $15 more than the 1050ti plus freesync works then. Also the 470 is way faster than the 1050ti.

Freesync doesn't only boost screens Hz.. it also drops them if needed to look smother.. the thing is that if he games a lot on fast paced games, smooth gameplay wont be enough for him.. for fast action more fps=better.. but if he isnt interested a lot in gaming or plays story games freesync is better than the 1050ti.. it is a matter of keeping always high fps or keeping it always smooth.. your call

Thanks for your answers!
I will pick the rx 470 as I see double benefit: faster than 1050ti (at very same price) and can match with freesync monitor.
Thanks!
