PSU-Motherboard problems (can't plug in)

Hello

I'm building a PC and I'm trying to plug in this

into this

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KWjWGX/asrock-b250m-hdv-micro-atx-lga1151-motherboard-b250m-hdv

But I don't seem to have any cable to fit the CPU power slot.

Did I need to buy one or is my PSU not compatible?

You split the 8 pin CPU in half and plug in one of the 4 pins

So if I understand this correctly. 1 of my 8-pointers from the PSU, divide them into 2 2x2 and plug one of them into the PSU power?

If the cable is labeled "PCI/E", then you have the wrong cable, look for another 8-pin connector.

And "tear" is much too strong a word for separating the cable end.
