Gonna replace my h100i cooler. It's been okay but I want to switch back over to air. I'm on an x99 board. I have a ddr4 ripjaw memory and I just am kind of worried about the memory being to tall. My budget is $100 or less.

I would also suggest the Noctua NH-D15 or NH-D15S (a compact version of the NH-D15), or if you want to save a bit more money there is also the Cooler Master Hyper 212X - an update to their great Hyper 212 Evo cooler.

All of these have great performance, but I believe the Noctua fans are more quiet and perform slightly better.

Noctua nh-d15 or the nh-15s, you'll get similar temps to the h100i with less noise and air cooled. unfortunately for clearance with the ripjaws you would need to move the fans to side and middle, or if your x99 board has ram on either side of the CPU you would only be able to use the middle fan. Alternatively you can move the fans slightly up on the heat-sink for clearance.

What case are you using? What is it's max heatsink clearance?
