Upgrading GPU on Acer ATC-605-UB11, Quick Question

Solution
Your CPU will support that Graphics card or even a 1060 or 1070

The 1050 will probably be pusing your OEM power supply.
If it was Dell or HP I would say you are likely fine but I wouldnt trust Acer PSU to stand for too long under gaming load.
You will need to plan on replacing the PSU to a quality one in the near future. Key work here is quality. There are many cheap PSUs that will print a nice number on a sticker (like say 600 or 700w) but will not only fall significantly short at that but will also fiy the rest of your computer when it dies.

Physically compatible? It should be.

You may have to move your HDD to another slot to ensure appropriate clearance.

That being said, I'd see what you can find written on your PSU labelling. I would expect it's only going to be a ~200W PSU, and a 1050TI is adding the potential for 75W additional draw.

I would expect a PSU upgrade would be required too.

Whilst the cnet site doesn't list the motherboard, the fact that it supports a modern LGA1150 Socket CPU means it will have at least one PCI-E slot, in which case your choice of GPU is a good one as you've no need for any additional power connections to the card.

Check your BIOS level and see if there are any later BIOS revisions for the motherboard also.

I know that this is an older thread, so apologies for the necro, but I've upgraded the ATC-605-UB11 and may have some insight for future people who find this thread. First, you will need to upgrade the power supply. The factory is a 300 watt PSU, but it's simply not good enough to power mid to high end GPU and the additional accessories you'll need. Second, a low profile/slim version of graphics card will work. Full sizes, not so much. Third, the USB toggle is directly below the PCI-E slot. A GPU will fit, BUT if you want to keep your front USB ports, you will need to work a way to lock in the GPU or it can/will pop out because of the USB cord pushing against it. Finally, there is basically no air flow in the case, so it is highly recommended that you modify the case to add a couple of fans to it OR the GPU will run hot constantly. Cheap workaround for this is to leave case open and find a small cheap USB desktop fan and set it beside the GPU in the open case. Turn on when running games with high GPU demands.
