No display with graphics card, but display with integrated graphics after CMOS cleared.

So I am getting no display on my monitor when it's connected to the graphics card, and when the graphics card is still installed I get nothing when connected to motherboard as well. After removing the graphics card, I have to clear the CMOS and restore default BIOS settings, and then I am able to boot and the computer works fine (running through motherboard) and can turn on and off fine. However, as soon as I reinstall my graphics card, I get no display, and the CMOS must be cleared again if I want to get back to my BIOS (with the graphics card removed). I also get the single POST beep.

I have tested the BIOS battery and it is good, I have also tried using new batteries. So is my graphics card the problem, or the mobo, or possibly something with the BIOS settings?

Ok, that was my guess. I will have to do some looking around to find a computer to test my card in.

My mobo has another slot - a PCIe 4X slot - that will physically fit the card. Worth a try?
